Romans 8:26-28 ~ The Message Bible

Meanwhile, the moment we get tired in the waiting, God’s Spirit is right alongside helping us along. If we don’t know how or what to pray, it doesn’t matter. He does our praying in and for us, making prayer out of our wordless sighs, our aching groans. He knows us far better than we know ourselves, knows our pregnant condition, and keeps us present before God. That’s why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good.

Waiting and trusting is a big part of walking with Christ.  I believe it's for two reasons; one, God is always working in our hearts for a higher purpose that we can see.  Secondly, He has a lot of details to arrange, more than we could possible imagine and he has to work with sometimes “unmanageable” clay.  We think we are waiting on Him and a lot of the time, He is waiting on us.  I would like to quote a portion of a book I am reading by Ellisabeth Elliott. I believe it will encourage you to trust Him while you are waiting.

We who have been given an intelligence and a will and a whole range of wants that can be set against the divine Pattern  for Good are asked to believe Him.  We are given the chance to trust Him when He says to us, :…If any man will let himself be lost for my sake, he will find his true self.”  When will we find it? we ask. The answer is, Trust Me.  How will we find it? The answer again is, Trust Me.  Elisabeth Elliott
