He Stands At The Door

Revelation 3:19,20

 Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent.  Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.

When I was young I clearly remember a painting we had in our home. You might remember having that as well, it was a picture of Jesus standing at the front door of a home knocking.  It made an impression on me.  I remember thinking, “who wouldn't let Him in”? I still have that question in my heart and mind.  He wants the door of our hearts to open.  He wants to fellowship with us.  His discipline at times is out of His heart of love.  Everything He does in our hearts is for our good and His glory.  Today ~ open the door wide for the Savior!
