The words of a [discreet and wise] man’s mouth are like deep waters [plenteous and difficult to fathom], and the fountain of skillful and godly Wisdom is like a gushing stream [sparkling, fresh, pure, and life-giving].
When I read this passage, I am reminded of the scripture in James 3:11;Does a fountain send forth [simultaneously] from the same opening fresh water and bitter? We who walk with Christ are called to bring forth life with our counsel and our words. We will be held accountable for every non productive word we speak. Don't you want to be like a gushing stream filled with sparkling, fresh, pure and LIFE GIVING wisdom? I have a feeling if that was our reputation, the lines to listen to us speak would be very long. We are the vessels of God, we are His temple. Let us today and everyday, be the wise people of God who always point others to the life giving grace of Jesus!
