Proverbs 5:21 ~ The Amplified Bible

 For the ways of man are directly before the eyes of the Lord, and He [Who would have us live soberly, chastely, and godly] carefully weighs all man’s goings.

 This is the kind of verse that makes me shudder.  It calls me to remember that as big and busy as God is, He is still able to watch each of us carefully.  His careful scrutiny is not so He can clobber us when we make a wrong move.  He watches us closely, as any good parent watches their children.  His boundaries and statutes are for our good always. He sees the destruction of sin all over the earth.  He would have us be free from that poison that pollutes our lives. Let us watch our steps today, to follow Him and have the reward of life and more life!
