Be Not Conformed!

Romans 12:2 ~ The Amplified Bible

 Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you].

It's a daily challenge not to look around and be moved by the culture of this age and it's problems and pain.  I decided a few years ago to limit my attention to the nigtly news.  For me it is important to watch my intake of media.  The Lord has given us clear direction regarding where our thoughts should be.  We have to use wisdom so that we are able to keep our hearts and minds on Him and not the things of this world.  The battleground is the mind.  Don't be ignorant of the enemy and his divisive tactics.  His goal is to separate our hearts from our minds.  He wants us confused and focused.  He wants to disable us.  Today, ask Him what He wants you to cut out of your life.  Ask Him to help you keep your mind focused on His good, His acceptable and His perfect will for you!
