Hold Closely To Mercy And Kindness

 Let not mercy and kindness [shutting out all hatred and selfishness] and truth [shutting out all deliberate hypocrisy or falsehood] forsake you; bind them about your neck, write them upon the tablet of your heart.

 So shall you find favor, good understanding, and high esteem in the sight [or judgment] of God and man.

What would it look like in our lives if we made kindness and mercy paramount in our comments and actions?  Would the words from our lips be sweet?  Would the world see a difference our behavior?  Would Jesus shine brightly in our lives?  I think so.  Today, let us be encouraged by this scripture to watch our words and consider the thoughts of our hearts.  May the Lord Jesus be comfortable today as He dwells in us.
