I am the Lord, your Holy One, the Creator of Israel, your King.Thus says the Lord, Who makes a way through the sea and a path through the mighty waters,
Who brings forth chariot and horse, army and mighty warrior. They lie down together, they cannot rise; they are extinguished, they are quenched like a lampwick. Do not [earnestly] remember the former things; neither consider the things of old.
Behold, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs forth; do you not perceive and know it and will you not give heed to it? I will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.
Don't we all love the idea of a new season, fresh starts, hope in all that the Lord has promised? This is a perfect day to reflect on what we have learned in the last year and to look ahead knowing He is faithful to finish in us the work He has begun. He promises that He will perfect that which concerns us. Our faith in Him pleases Him. Let's put the old tape with its negative thoughts in the trash once and for all. Let us draw near to Him and expect His goodness and mercy to follow us ALL the days of our lives. He is Faithful! And He DOES Care!
