Isaiah 40:27-31
Oh Jacob, do you say, and declare, O Israel, My way and my lot are hidden from the Lord, and my right is passed over without regard from my God? Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, does not faint or grow weary; there is no searching of His understanding.
He gives power to the faint and weary, and to him who has no might He increases strength [causing it to multiply and making it to abound]. Even youths shall faint and be weary, and [selected] young men shall feebly stumble and fall exhausted;
But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired.
Do you ever find yourself grumbling under your breath saying things like; “'I'm sick and tired, I'm forgotten, I'm growing old and weary, etc.etc”? Do we lose sight of the eternal purposes of our lives? I have to say I am guilty. I let my mind go, and before I know it I am feeling discouraged. This morning as I was praying I felt impressed to remind myself and you that we are walking this earth for an eternal purpose. We don't see the whole picture. There are a couple things I can promise you, first He will stay close by always infusing you with strength and grace. Secondly, how you walk in obedience to His Word will prove to bless you on your earthly journey AND bring great glory and reward in the future. Great is His faithfulness!
