And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power together with the Lord's holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ and to know this love that surpasses knowledge- that you may be filled to the measure all of the fullness of God. Ephesians 3:17-19
Ephesians was written by Paul to Gentiles a.k.a. ones consdidered inferior by Jews. Gentiles were outsiders. That is why Paul wrote the book of Ephesians. He wrote it to declare that we are all one body of Christ. The status of Jew, Gentile, Free and slave have been eliminated in Christ.
When Paul is praying for power to grasp the love of God and be filled with the fullness of God, he is praying over people who were wondering if they were even capable of being loved by God in the same way as the Jews.
The good news today is that Christ loves us all! We are all his children regardless of any label or title we may have. There are no superiors and inferiors. Our rank is determined by nothing else other than our servanthood. I am going to pray the prayer of Paul over you today. I pray that being rooted and established in love, you may have power together with the Lord's holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep the love of Christ is and that you would know this love that surpasses knowledge and that you would be filled to the measure with the fullness of God.
God loves you so much that you need some serious power to even grasp it. It surpasses all knowledge. God loves you and wants to fill you with his fullness! How awesome is that? Know that he loves you today.
