It is SO much easier to give thanks when you have gotten what you wanted!  

Worldly greatness is about who rules; kingdom greatness is about who serves. We are in a world where greatness is measured by the extent of a person’s influence and power, control and command. And we like the idea that we are served and our needs being attended to. But in God’s kingdom, to become great, one must learn and start to serve others. Jesus said: “Whoever wants to be great, he must serve.” True greatness is not how many people serve you, but how many people do you serve. 

At the root of faith is trust. Faith cannot be built without trust anymore than a water molecule can be built without hydrogen. Trust is a key element in the formation of faith. In the New Testament faith, belief and trust all come from the same root word. They are practically interchangeable.

Loneliness is one of those experiences that is so fundamental to the human condition that some have argued that it is a universal experience. I cannot deny that assertion based on my own personal experience. I have lived through feelings of loneliness as both a believer and unbeliever. And based on those experiences I can honestly say that there is an essential difference between the two. Perhaps we need a word to distinguish between them. As an unbeliever I experienced loneliness that led to true dispair, but I have never dispaired in that same way as a believer.

God Has A Plan For Your Life!  Part One

How many times have you heard that?  Especially from our parents or a pastor when things don’t go our way?  I can remember time and time again just rolling my eyes and saying under my breath, REALLY??  Well it does feel like it right now!  Maybe you are having these same thoughts and feelings.  I am sure they are justified.  Been there myself but the good thing is that God is right there with you in the place you are right now.  What always use to bug me is that people would say that but then that’s it.  I would want to scream, “yes but how will I know it when it gets here?”

God’s love is not based on are goodness or how we perform but rather on who’s we are and we are ALL God’s children when we accept His son, Jesus Christ, who gave His life for ALL of us.  Receiving the love of Jesus and living in his love everyday, is the first and most essential step in having a love worth giving. Jesus gave His life for YOU so give your life to Him.

The King of Kings has kissed mankind with the gift of salvation. In the words of a famous worship song, “The darling of heaven crucified, worthy is the lamb!” God SO loved the world that He gave His only son to die for us so that we can have eternal life!  At the top of the cross Jesus died upon it said “King of Kings.”
