The choir had sang a powerful song and the pastor had gotten up and said, “look at sister so and so, she has received her victory, that's why she can praise today….” on and on he went pointing out people in the choir and audience who were praising God and had gotten what they wanted. Their miracle!! While I praise God they did, what about people who do not receive what they wanted, their healing, their financial miracle, their marriage restored, or whatever? Isn't it easy to praise when you get what you have been praying for??
But what about those who have continued to give thanks in the middle of their horrific situations? Isn't that REAL praise? Real Thanksgiving to “Give thanks in EVERYTHING, for this is the will of God.” I Thessalonians 5:18. When we give thanks in EVERYTHING the will of God is activated in your life. It is an act of faith. Faith pleases God so when we praise Him in the midst of EVERYTHING, we are living in the will of God.
