Psalm 23:1-3 ~ The Amplified Bible

The Lord is my Shepherd [to feed, guide, and shield me], I shall not lack. He makes me lie down in [fresh, tender] green pastures; He leads me beside the still and restful waters.  He refreshes and restores my life (my self); He leads me in the paths of righteousness [uprightness and right standing with Him—not for my earning it, but] for His name’s sake.

Oh to Rest in His care!  Some days I feel like a dumb sheep, I fumble around wondering where my next meal is coming from.  Do you ever feel that way?  Have the cares of this world clouded your view of the Good Shepherd? As sheep, we don't always see where the next pasture is.  We don't know where the streams of water  are or when they will come into view.  Today I am putting my focus on the Shepherd of my soul.  Will you do the same? Remember He is the Good Shepherd who laid down His life for His sheep.
