Easter is a great time to refocus on the saving grace of Jesus Christ! As a Christian holiday, Easter focuses on the redemptive act of God in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Although the festivities, Cadbury chocolates, colored eggs and baskets are a fun way to celebrate this special season, it is important to always keep Christ at the center!
Some great ideas for implementing Christ in to your Easter season are in the following list!
1. One morning, wake up a little early and read John 10. The Good Shepherd and the Sheep. This will be a great reminder that Christ is our only hope, and He does not give up on us!
2. If you dye Easter eggs with friends and family, try finding an older Bible and glue (Modge Podge) scripture on to your brightly colored eggs! You can be creative as you wish!
3. Make a special effort toward quiet time. If you feel distant from the Lord or just want to sense His closeness, set the alarm a little early, get up, and meditate on a few scriptures from the Easter story up until Easter Sunday.
4. Easter is a perfect time to share the word of God to others. Try having a themed Easter event and invite neighbors. Maybe watch a movie like the Passion of the Christ and before everyone heads home, read selected pieces from the Easter story to your guest. (Matthew 26-28)
