Galatians 5:22-23 NIV

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,  gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

Have you ever planted a plant or a tree only to find out soon enough that it is not what you thought you planted.  I guess it was packaged wrong.  In a sense, that is what happens when the fruit of our lives produces something contrary to God's Spirit.  Those around us might be thinking…”is he/she a Christ follower?”. We as Christ followers are “packaged” so to speak, in Christ.  We are not perfect, but our pursuit is to reflect Christ.  As we walk this journey in Christ, our desire should be to shine as beacons to those who don't yet know Him.  When we are not reflecting Christ (and we all have those moments) we must be quick to repent and make things right.  As the bumper sticker reads, “Christians are not perfect, just forgiven”, that is true, but it must go further than that.  We must daily ask the Holy Spirit to help us walk in Him in a way that our light shines before men, bringing glory to the Father.
